healthcare accreditation group has recently released two international hospital rankings to provide reference for hospital goers in China as well as the rest of Asia.

Guangzhou Asclepius Healthcare Accreditation Corp. (GAHA), which has been releasing annual Chinese hospitals rankings for 12 consecutive years, began to publish international hospital rankings last year. It launched this year’s international hospital rankings at the fourth China International Import Expo (CIIE) earlier this month, covering top 100 hospitals in China, Japan and South Korea in 2020, and top 100 hospitals in China and ASEAN.

Just as U.S. News and World Report has been publishing hospital rankings for more than 20 years, GAHA in 2006 started studying the systematical KPIs and ranking methodologies for hospitals and universities, from U.S. News and World Report, T.H.E, Q.S, ARWU, etc.

Between 2007 and 2008, GAHA conducted a research on the survival and development in more than 1,000 county-level Chinese hospitals. As a result, GAHA was able to launch the first top 100 county-level hospital ranking in 2010. Since then, further researches were implemented, comparing hospital competitiveness among more than 3,000 hospitals with similar metrics in different levels and categories. Today, GAHA releases 24 Chinese hospital rankings annually.

By utilizing well-recognized and locally proved methodologies, metrics and tools, GAHA consequently creates domestic hospital rankings in order to provide a levelized and categorized benchmark for Chinese hospital development.

In 2020, GAHA became the first organization that releases international hospital rankings: Top 100 Hospitals in China, Japan and South Korea, and Top 100 Hospitals in China and ASEAN. These rankings set a precedent that compares Chinese and foreign hospitals on a same accreditation system.

国际知名医疗评价机构 US News and World Report （美国新闻与世界报道）对医院排名持续发布20多年。艾力彼GAHA自2006年开始研究美国新闻与世界报道医院排名、泰晤士高等教育世界大学排名、QS世界大学排名、软科世界大学学术排名等国际排名的指标体系与方法论。

艾力彼GAHA在2007-2008年间，对1000多家中国县级医院进行生存与发展的调查和研究，于2010年发布首届中国县级医院100强排行榜，并逐步对不同层级、不同类别3000多家医院进行横向和纵向的对比研究，至今每年发布24个中国医院排行榜。

艾力彼GAHA希望借助国际排名的思路、方法和工具，通过国内医院排名为中国医院发展提供分层分类的参考标杆。

在2020年，艾力彼GAHA率先推出两个中外国际榜单——中日韩最佳医院100强和中国·东盟最佳医院100强，把中外医院放在同一个评价体系上比较，开中国医院排行榜先河。
